Codryth // Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Codryth (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and request Captain Access / early boarding clearance (the waitlist).
1. Who we are (data controller)
Codryth is an interactive learning experience set aboard a sci-fi journey. The operator of this site for privacy purposes is Codryth.
For privacy questions or data requests, contact: privacy@codryth.com.
2. What we collect
When you submit the Captain Access form, we collect:
- Your email address
- A source tag (for example, “captain-access”) so we know which form you used
- The date and time of your request
3. Why we collect it
We use your email to manage the waitlist, send boarding / early-access related messages about Codryth, and respond to your request.
We do not sell your email or personal data.
4. Legal basis
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process waitlist data based on:
- Your consent — you submit the form and agree to this Policy / our Terms
- Legitimate interests — operating the waitlist and responding to your boarding request in a way that does not override your rights
5. Where it is stored and who helps us
Waitlist data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. To run the site we use service providers (“processors”), which currently include:
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery
- Supabase (PostgreSQL) — database hosting for waitlist entries
- Resend — transactional email delivery (welcome / boarding confirmation after waitlist signup)
6. International transfers
Our providers may process or store data in the European Union, the United States, or other countries. When data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers (for example, standard contractual clauses or equivalent), where required.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your email while you remain on the waitlist, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
If Codryth later launches accounts or a full product, we may invite you to create a profile; that would be covered by an updated Privacy Policy.
8. Sharing
We share data only with providers who help us run Codryth (hosting, database, email delivery), and only as needed for those services. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security of the site.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, restrict access to waitlist data to people who operate Codryth, and keep secrets out of public source control. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk with reasonable measures for our stage.
10. Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog (product analytics) only after you authorize optional telemetry in the onboard data-link clearance prompt. It helps us understand how the site is used — for example which pages people visit — so we can improve Codryth.
We do not use advertising cookies or marketing pixels that track you across other sites. Essential technical storage (for example language preference) may still be used so the site works, even if you choose “Essential only”.
If we add advertising or marketing trackers later, we will update this Policy and the clearance prompt.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (including removal from the waitlist)
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability, where applicable
12. How to leave the waitlist or delete your data
Email privacy@codryth.com from the address you used to sign up (or tell us which address to remove). We will delete your waitlist entry within a reasonable time.
13. Children
Codryth is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country). Do not submit an email if you are under that age. If you believe a child submitted an email, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy as Codryth grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. For material changes we may also note updates on the site. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
